The “in between” is ugly. The middle is messy. Transition takes time and work. As I’m pulling out our Christmas decorations, I’m reminded of the literal messiness from one season to the next. But, without the transition there wouldn’t be a transformation. It requires hard work of putting the old away, so the new can come. It takes going through old dusty boxes to transform a home into one that reflects a scene out of Elf!

🎄
Isn’t that the truth about life’s changing seasons as well? It’s sometimes ugly, messy, confusing, takes time, work and patience. Some seasons are expected and embraced, while others not so much. Whether it’s in literal terms of decorating for Christmas, or on a personal level, the overwhelming feeling remains the same. .
.
Just as the transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas is temporary, this life and it’s circumstances are temporary. Just as we anticipate the beauty of glittering lights, Jesus sees beauty that we can’t see. The beauty of an eternity spent with Him. .
.
The truth is that we will always be living our lives in the middle until the moment we take our last breath. Don’t get stuck in the discouragement of the in between, there’s an eternal beauty waiting ahead.
🎶Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You,
You silenced the boast of sin and grave.
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory,
for You are raised to life again.
You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, Our God reigns.
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory,
Yours is the Name above all names.
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King”🎶
.
In a world where we’re constantly battling lies from the enemy, our souls need to be reminded of how good and powerful God is. Not just on Sunday mornings, but second by second, minute by minute. Keep replacing those lies with truth of God’s word! .
